    DIRECTIVE CUSTOM EXAMPLES

    We make a lot of custom boards every year. It’s always fun to see how creative people can be. When you have a designer that wants a board I know it’s going to be something special. This is by far our favorite part of owning a factory. Making a board for people is incredibly rewarding.

    BOARD MATERIALS

    01. Topsheet: Glossy PBT. We do not add toxic lacquer for these boards.
    02. Biaxial fiberglass: Biaxial consists of two layers that are stitched together. The two layers runs 0 ̊/90 ̊ degrees to each other creating a smooth feel while provides pop.
    03. Woodcore: Full length Poplar wood core.
    04. Sidewall: We use state of the art Urethane that runs the whole perimeter of the wood core for a perfect bond. Urethane is extremely damp and makes for a better overall ride.
    05. Epoxy Resins: Super SAP 305 - 305 is a USDA Certified BioPreferred® Product with 28% biobased content.
    06. Inserts: Stainless Steel.
    07. Biaxial fiberglass: Biaxial consists of two layers that are stitched together. The two layers runs 0 ̊/90 ̊ degrees to each other creating a smooth feel while provides pop.
    08. Rubber Dampening: Rubber foil between the edge and fiberglass helps with bonding. It also helps with over all board chattering.
    09. Edge: Rockwell 48.
    10. Base Material: Sintered IS 7500. Super durable and fast base material. Sublimated artwork.

    CAMBER PROFILE

    The custom Directive comes with a traditional camber. The camber runs the full length of the contact. This helps the board have more control at full speeds while offering a little more pop. The board rails when on the groomers. We also CnC a thinner zone between the bindings that results in a more playful ride.

    NEGATIVE CORE PROFILE

    The Directive Series comes with a negative core profile. We remove some of the wood core between the bindings to help balance the flex from tip to tail. The board feels more playful and adds foot control on all terrain.

    Aswome service, even thought i wasnt sure 100% how i really wanted to customise the board and was paranoid since i put down wrong adress on the order, was helped every step of the way to make me reasured and happy with my choices. Took all and all 5 Weeks from start to finish with quick and precise answers all the way. Would definetly build again and recommend to anyone wanting a custom board and the best customer service.

    Phenomenal Quality and Service

    After an exhaustive search for a company to build a custom snowboard for my wife’s birthday, I narrowed the options down to 2, and when I saw that Wired is a Canadian Company it got me leaning toward them. After reading the incredible reviews I was almost completely sold on Wired. Then one day I was at Lake Louise when I saw a guy holding a board that had the Wired logo on the base. I asked how he liked it. He replied “This is my second Wired board, and I won’t buy any more of the big brand names. These guys got it dialed in man, they make the best boards you can buy”. Hearing that had me stoked, so I emailed Rob Dow, and he got me all the info I needed. We got a design going, Rob helped me tweak it to make it perfect and we started the process. I had no idea how long it took to make a snowboard, and luckily for me the guys at Wired worked their asses off to get it to me in time for my wife’s birthday. The board is unreal, the guys at wired are absolute craftsmen. I have owned Libtech, Ride, Burton, Sims and Rossignol boards, and the quality of this board EASILY stands up with every one of the big brands, and I honestly believe you get more board for your buck with Wired. If you are considering a new snowboard, check out their online store, I know it is where I will be getting my next one. If you are looking for a custom board… don’t bother looking any further.     Such an amazing company! Rob worked with myself and my kids to create an amazing snowboard for their Dad. With a custom top full of their drawings and things that mean a lot to them and their dad, it looks stunning and they can’t wait to give it to him at Christmas!

    Best boards on the market!

    I got a custom board made last winter and not only did they nail the graphic concept I presented, the board is also the best I've ridden in the over 25 years I've been riding. Snappy for side hits and responsive in deep powder. Just a complete joy to ride.
