Since its inception, Wired Snowboards has dreamt of working alongside Devun Walsh. Well today that dream is becoming reality. We are extremely excited to announce that Walsh is joining the team at Wired Snowboards.
“What else can be said about Devun that hasn’t already been said? A true legend of the sport, his style, hard work and drive have been instrumental in helping to shape snowboarding for decades. I am very excited about Wired’s future, and sharing the big things we have planned over the next few seasons.” - Rob Dow
“Over the past few years I started to ride whatever was given to me, without noticing that my boards weren’t working great for me. After one day on Wired I realized how much fun I was missing out on, and what it was like to ride boards locally produced by a company so clearly passionate about snowboard design. I’m really excited about the opportunity to work with Wired and grow with them.”

We started Wired with the purpose of creating better, more innovative boards. Those that weren’t just made to order, but were made to order right here in Vancouver. Plus, we wanted more – no, full – control over both the creativity and the quality that went into making them. And the only way to ensure that was by investing in our own factory from the start. So that’s exactly what we did.
Now, Wired can prototype new boards in under 24-hours. We can be flexible and experimental, always pushing the next big idea. And we can offer quicker turn-arounds on custom builds and limited runs. In fact, most of our business is building one-off custom boards for our customers.
Wired may be our business, but it’s also our passion. The only thing better than being in the factory, playing around and seeing where our ideas take us, is seeing those ideas take people to the mountain.
When starting Wired, we set out to do something different. We wanted to play around and explore new graphic directions, and after doing 40+ paint variations, we finally had the designs we loved.
To create each look, we used acrylic paint on white canvas, with techniques like dirty and swirl pouring to get a unique result every time (yes – we had to do a lot of these to get the perfect designs). After the paintings dried, we scanned them to take a closer look and find the exact areas to feature on each board. Once we found our desired graphic, we scanned them again in high resolution before starting the treatment process and getting them ready for production. From concept to market, it took over 6 months to get our 2021 line complete. And worth every minute.
