The Wired Crew

Brad Heppner is a British Columbia snowboard photographer whose work is deeply connected to the culture of Mount Seymour and the North Shore.

Brad began photographing crews including the Wildcats, Skids and Party Snakes during snowboarding’s independent film era. Those relationships opened the door to shooting influential riders in the Whistler backcountry and on snowboard trips around the world.

His images capture more than individual tricks. They preserve the personalities, friendships and atmosphere surrounding snowboarding. Brad continues to photograph current riders while documenting the history and ongoing evolution of the West Coast scene.

Chris Haslam is a Canadian professional skateboarder recognized around the world for his creativity, technical ability and completely original approach to riding a skateboard.

Chris began skateboarding while growing up in Singapore before moving to Vancouver at 17. His inventive skating, iconic video parts and willingness to look at terrain differently helped establish him as one of the most influential and recognizable skateboarders of his generation.

That same creativity carries into his artwork and his collaboration with Wired and Brainchild Skateboards. The Chris Haslam Artist Series combines original graphics with a versatile Canadian-made snowboard, bringing his imaginative approach from concrete to snow.

Devun Walsh is one of the most influential riders in modern snowboarding. Rising out of Canada’s West Coast scene in the 1990s, he became known for bringing clean freestyle technique, controlled spins and unmistakable style into big-mountain terrain.

As a member of the legendary Forum 8 and a driving force behind the Wildcats, Devun helped shape how a generation approached powder, natural terrain and snowboard filmmaking. Standout parts in Simple Pleasures, Technical Difficulties, The Resistance and Wildcats Never Die cemented his place in snowboard history.

Devun and Wired owner Rob Dow first crossed paths during the early 1990s contest scene and later shared a house in North Vancouver. After following different paths through the snowboard industry, they came full circle decades later to work together at Wired.

Today, Devun continues to ride, develop boards and influence the next generation. His Canadian-made Wired pro model combines a true twin shape, traditional camber and medium-stiff flex for freestyle, all-mountain and freeride terrain.

Graeme Samodien grew up riding the mountains of British Columbia’s North Shore alongside his twin brother Grantley. His early years included freestyle contests and park riding before his focus expanded into powder, natural terrain and the Whistler backcountry.

Over the years, Graeme has appeared in snowboard films and local edits documenting the riders and terrain of the Coast Mountains. His riding combines a strong freestyle foundation with the experience and control required for technical backcountry lines.

Together, Graeme and Grantley are known as the Samo Bros. Their shared commitment to snowboarding, adventure and the Whistler community makes Graeme a natural part of the Wired crew.

Harrison Gray is a Canadian freestyle snowboarder and longtime Whistler local who began competing at a young age. By 14, he had earned support from Burton, Oakley and Nike 6.0 before progressing into Canada’s national snowboard program and international FIS competition.

In 2013, a serious back injury ended Harrison’s competitive career and began a challenging new chapter. His experiences with injury and recovery ultimately gave him a deeper appreciation for connection, community and being there for others.

Today, Harrison remains rooted in the Whistler snowboard community. He uses his lived experience to advocate for recovery and mental wellness while helping create a more open and supportive culture around snowboarding. His riding, resilience and commitment to helping others make him an important part of the Wired crew.

Dave Cashen is a Canadian snowboarder whose career helped define an unforgettable period in West Coast snowboarding. A staple in Canadian and international snowboard magazines, Dave appeared in Wildcat films and produced his own Cashless snowboard movies.

His riding combined technical ability, personality and a fearless approach to both snow and concrete. The films and stories surrounding Dave became part of the character and culture of Canadian snowboarding during its independent video era.

After surviving stomach cancer and undergoing life-changing surgery, Dave relocated to Rossland, British Columbia. His resilience, openness and commitment to snowboarding and community have continued to inspire the people around him. Dave remains an important part of the Wildcat story and the extended Wired family.

Grantley Samodien is a British Columbia snowboarder with deep roots in the North Shore and Whistler riding communities. Alongside his twin brother Graeme, Grantley grew up riding the local mountains before moving deeper into the Coast Mountain backcountry.

Known as one of the hardest-working backcountry riders in the Whistler Valley, Grantley has built his riding around powder, natural terrain and long days in the mountains. His snowboarding has appeared in local films, edits and photography documenting the culture of the Sea to Sky corridor.

As part of the Wired crew, Grantley represents the dedicated riders who keep exploring, building and riding regardless of whether a camera is present.

Niko Pavlakos is a multidisciplinary board rider from Port Moody, British Columbia. Growing up around snowboarding, skateboarding and skimboarding helped shape a creative approach built around technical tricks, natural movement and having fun.

Niko started skimboarding at a young age after being introduced to it by his aunt and uncle. Snowboarding and skateboarding became major influences on his riding, helping him develop a style that moves naturally between snow, concrete and water.

As part of the Wired crew, Niko represents the next generation of West Coast riders. He brings energy, creativity and a willingness to try something new every time he straps in.

Sascha Daley is a Canadian professional skateboarder from Vancouver Island. Born in Victoria and raised in Courtenay, he eventually made Vancouver his home base while building an international career through street skating, travel and video parts.

Known for powerful, confident skating and an eye for challenging spots, Sascha has appeared in projects from Mystery, Element, Supra, Red Dragon, Empire and other influential skate crews. His career has taken him from British Columbia to California, Barcelona and cities around the world.

Sascha turned professional with Element after years of steadily earning recognition through video parts and magazine coverage. Away from skateboarding, he is also an avid cyclist and outdoorsman whose connection to Vancouver Island remains an important part of his identity.

His place in the Wired crew represents the close relationship between West Coast skateboarding, snowboarding and the people who have helped shape both cultures.

Scott Serfas is a professional action-sports photographer from British Columbia whose work has helped define how modern snowboarding is seen around the world.

Scott began photographing friends in the early 1990s, submitting his images to snowboard magazines while learning through experience. His early subjects included Devun Walsh and other members of the emerging North Shore snowboard scene.

His career has since included more than 100 magazine covers, years as a senior photographer for Transworld SNOWboarding and work on major projects including The Art of Flight. Scott has photographed many of snowboarding’s most influential riders while continuing to shoot snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing, biking and commercial projects.

Ben Kerr, better known online as Sickie Dickie, is a Canadian content creator and personality from North Vancouver, British Columbia.

His comedic food reviews, everyday observations and unpredictable characters have attracted a large audience across Instagram and TikTok. The appeal comes from Ben’s willingness to be himself, have fun and turn ordinary situations into memorable entertainment.

Ben is also a snowboarder and longtime member of the North Vancouver community. His collaborations with Wired bring humour and personality to the brand while showing that snowboard culture is about the people and experiences surrounding the riding as much as the product itself.
